Why Nikki Monet Photography?
Your experience at Nikki Monet Photography is equally as important as the keepsakes we create together. We want your session to be designed specifically for you with our level of expertise to guide you from start to finish. From the consultation, to your styled session, to your beautiful reveal, NMP takes great pride in making your portrait session a true experience you will enjoy.
Where are you located?
Our studio is located in Walpole Center at 5 West St. exit 9 off of 95 south coming from Boston. I was born and raised in Boston and shoot often in the city.
How long have you been taking pictures?
I have been taking photos since 2010 and our studio space has been open since March 2016.
Is this your full-time job?
It sure is! I’m blessed to be able to do something I love each and every day.
How do I book a session?
To book a session just call or email the studio. Both a signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required to reserve your session.
How much are your sessions?
Session fees start at $100 and cover your three appointments plus the time and talent of the photographer. Custom art collections start at $550. If you would like an all-inclusive package, we have a Signature Collection that includes all of your images as well as artwork. To see a full list of session fees visit our investment page.
Do you shoot weddings?
Sorry! We don’t currently shoot weddings. We do offer both engagement and bridal portraits!

Do you offer mini sessions?
We offer a Signature Mini sessions year round. You have the option of choosing from pre-made sets that are available at that time. Sets change from month to month. Please contact the studio to see which sets are available and/or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
What is included with my session fee?
Your session fee includes your consultation, your session, and reveal ordering session as well as use of any props in studio. Newborn sessions also include wardrobe. Cake smash sessions include the cake. Your consultation is a full planning session where we decide on the details of your shoot. Your reveal session is the time for you to see all of your wonderful images and choose your photos and products. No digital images or products are included in this fee.
How far in advance should I book?
It is best to book your sessions as early as possible, at least 3-4 weeks in advance is ideal.
What should I wear for my photos?
We will discuss wardrobe in detail during your consultation. Generally, I recommend staying away from prints and logos in clothing. Complementary colors are usually preferable to one color choice for sessions with multiple people. Wardrobe for maternity and newborn sessions are available in studio and additional maternity and child session wardrobe is available for rent. What location(s) should we choose for our session and is travel included?
Typically sessions take place in studio but outdoor or on location sessions are available as well. For outdoor sessions, I’m happy to provide location suggestions within 15 miles of the studio. Travel is included for the locations within a 15 mile radius. There is an additional $50 fee for sessions outside of 15 miles from our studio.
How long will it take me to receive my images after the session?
Session editing usually takes 2-3 weeks. Once your images are edited we will schedule your reveal session for you to see your images.
Do you offer digital images?
Digital images are available for purchase. When you purchase digital images you will receive full-resolution digital files with a print release. This allows you to print as many of your images as you need. You receive two versions of each image. A low resolution image which is for web usage and a high resolution image for printing purposes. Individual digital images are $100 and are also available in sets of 5, 10, and full gallery.
Why are digital images so much?
Digital images have the most value because they offer you many options. Purchasing your digital images provides you with a print release allowing you to print your images time and time again for many different products without having to return to your photographer. They are therefore priced according to their value.
Can I purchase prints/products from you?
Most definitely! It is our hope that you do. We take pride in the artwork that we sell and we offer amazing quality products that are beautiful and long-lasting. Printing your images is a high-priority for us because it offers you a keepsake that can be passed down through generations. We love designing custom art collections for your family! Where should I print my pictures?
We would love to print your photos for you! Our photos are color-tested with our lab to give you the optimum color payout in your prints. We cannot guarantee images that are not printed with our lab but should you purchase digital images and choose not to print with us, we recommend MPix for printing (we are in no way affiliated with them). We do not recommend printing your images at stores such as Walmart or drugstores as the color and quality of the image will be altered.
When is payment on orders due?
Payment on orders is due in full upon placing your order. No orders are completed until they are paid in full.
When can I expect my order?
All orders are expected back to the studio within 2-3 weeks.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accepts all major credit cards, cash, or check.
Do you offer gift certificates?
We sure do! Gift certificates are available in any amount.
Maternity and Newborns
What is the best time for maternity portraits?
It is recommended that you book your sessions to be photographed around the 7 month mark. It is best to call and schedule in your second trimester.
Is maternity wardrobe available?
Yes! Maternity dresses are available for a $50 rental fee.
What is the best time for newborn portraits?
It is best to call us during your second or third trimester and we will schedule a session date around your due date. Once your baby is born, if necessary, we will reschedule your session based on the baby’s actual birth date. Please notify us as soon as possible. Newborn sessions only take place on weekdays.
Will you come to my home for newborn sessions?
Due to the nature of the session and the necessary equipment, newborn sessions are only done in studio.
At what age should newborns be photographed?
Newborns should ideally be photographed between 5 and 15 days old.
May I bring my other children?
Yes! We definitely want to photograph your new baby with their sibling(s). We photograph sibling shots first and then we do ask that someone other than mom then be available to either watch the children in studio or take the children once their photos are done. Newborn sessions tend to be long and it is sometimes hard for young children to sit that long.
What should I bring for my newborn session?
Please bring a pacifier to soothe baby between shots as well extra diapers, wipes, and if you’re not breastfeeding, extra formula for baby to eat between sets. Mom and Dad might want to bring an extra outfit as well in case little one has an oops.
